The name of our church was inspired by Pastor Ava, who had a series of events whereby she would hear the words Clarion Call whispered to her. She thought this meant the Lord was calling her home during these moments. But after much prayer, it was revealed to Pastor Earl that “The Clarion Call Christian Center” would be the church’s name.
On Sunday, January 16, 2009, in their San Antonio home, Pastor Earl woke up knowing today was the day and exclaimed with joy, “Let’s start!” In their living room, the birth of the church began. The first parishioners were their daughter Tamara, their grandsons Isaiah and Demarion, and a friend, Davida Cotmanel.
Within a month, Pastor Earl and Pastor Ava strategically put their home on the market for rent and moved into the Sedona Ranch Apartments to provide a place of worship and space for growth. The first official worship service was in the clubhouse on February 22, 2009.
The Clarion Call Christian Center is called to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole man, compelling them to come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. We endeavor to minister to the needs of all of God’s children through the four pillars of the church: preaching, teaching, evangelism, and discipleship.
We are grateful for a past that God has blessed and are dedicated to daily service for the Lord through our church.
